Early Christmas Present for My Senna!
The McLaren Senna isn't exactly the most practical car in the world... so here's the solution that's arrived just in time for Christmas! The fitted luggage set from Schedoni in Italy comprises two helmet cases and a third bag that tuck perfectly into the bulkhead compartment and are made from the exact same materials as the car's interior via MSO.
Let's head to Italy to visit the Schedoni atelier for a tour, featuring luggage from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Pagani, Aston Martin, McLaren and more. The incredible Schedoni memorabilia from their history includes the seat hides from Formula 1 cars like those of legends Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost, Rene Arnoux etc.
With some special luggage awaiting for my Senna, first up is a tour to see parts of the process that creates these amazing bespoke pieces. Working directly with the manufacturers and the CAD diagrams, enables the production of matching luggage incorporating the right designs which are then manufactured with the very same materials as the interior of the corresponding car.
In the case of the McLaren Senna, behind the seats is a bulkhead with a small storage compartment at the top between the cabin and the engine bay. This space is far from the most practical but McLaren proudly exclaimed it would be appropriate for the storage of two helmets; for each of the driver and passenger so let's put that to the test. The fitted luggage set from Schedoni very effectively fills this space with two helmet cases plus a central bag for additional items like a race suit and shoes; or alternatively to use the cases for general packing and maximising the available space.
The luggage set to go with my car is of course finished to match the interior in black Alcantara, with carbon sections and blue stitching in the same thread as the seat stitching. They are finished off with McLaren zipper pulls and even #281 embroidery to match the chassis number of my car. As an added bonus, Schedoni very kindly worked with Sparco to create a matching race suit that would go perfectly with my car and is even in my exact sizing from my previous orders with Sparco! Thank you to all involved in this amazing extra with the luggage set.
A special thanks to Schedoni, you can check them out for more info here:
