he BMW 4 Series is a coupé manufactured by the German automaker BMW. First official details of the 4 Concept BMW 4 Series were released to the public by an official press release on 5 December 2012, detailing the intention to replace the current BMW 3 Series coupé with a new BMW 4 series line to further differentiate the more sporty BMW coupé. The BMW car will be available in BMW convertible form (F33) and also in BMW Gran BMW Coupe (F36) as well.
The BMW 4 Series Coupe shares all technical features with F30 BMW 3 Series. The interior is almost the same as in the BMW 3 Series except the 2+2 seating configuration, and the exterior also shares the overall styling of the BMW 3 Series. Its wheelbase is 110.6 inches, two inches longer than BMW 3 Series coupe. BMW has increased the front track by 1.8 inches, for 60.8 inches, and 3.1 inches to the rear, for 62.7. Its overall width is 71.9 inches, 1.7 inches wider than the BMW 3 Coupe, and 0.6 inches lower, at 53.6. Overall length is 182.7 inches. The BMW 4 Series has made its debut in Detroit, United States at the North American International Auto Show.
In North America, at launch, the models of the all-new 4 Series will be BMW 420d, BMW 428i, BMW 428i xDrive, BMW 435i, and BMW 435i xDrive.
BMW Model Lines include four different "Lines". The Model Lines include Base Line (BMW ES Line/BMW SE Line), BMW Luxury Line, BMW Sport Line, and BMW M Sport Line. The Model Lines will be available on all four BMW 4 Series models.
The Base Line (ES Line/SE Line) allows the BMW 4 Series buyer to select the individual options and packages that they want on their BMW 4 Series. A black Comfort Access remote with a silver trim strip comes as standard equipment on the BMW 4 Series.
The BMW Luxury Line adds more luxury features to the BMW 4 Series, such as luxury-style alloy wheels, luxury wood interior trim, and luxury front bucket seats. An Oyster-colored Comfort Access remote with a silver trim strip is also included with the package.
The BMW Sport Line adds sporty features to the BMW 4 Series, such as larger alloy wheels, red seat stitching, red dash accents, and sport front bucket seats. A black Comfort Access remote with a red trim strip is also included with the package.
Finally, the BMW M Sport Line adds BMW M-like details to the BMW 4 Series, such as an M-inspired body kit, larger alloy wheels, BMW Estoril Blue seat stitching, BMW Estoril Blue dash accents, and sport front bucket seats. A black Comfort Access remote with an Estoril Blue trim strip is also included with the package. Estoril Blue is also an exclusive exterior color choice that is only available to choose with this package.
The BMW F32 series is the first generation of the BMW 4 Series range of compact executive cars. It is the successor to the BMW E92 model of the BMW 3 Series range.
This new BMW convertible is set to replace the BMW E93 3 Series Convertible. The new BMW 4 Series Convertible is visibly larger in width, track and wheelbase than the BMW E93 3 Series Convertible.
Early models include BMW 428i (245PS), BMW 435i (306PS), BMW 420d, with BMW 428i xDrive available in spring of 2014.
US models were set to arrive in US showrooms in the first quarter of 2014 as 2014 model year vehicles. Early models include BMW 428i (244PS), BMW 428i xDrive (244PS), BMW 435i (304PS)
BMW M4 Coupe (2014?-)
The design is based on BMW Concept M4 Coupe, with twin turbo six-cylinder in-line engine rated 430 PS (316 kW; 424 hp) and 500 N·m (369 lb·ft), air intakes at the front end, exposed carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) components, rear diffuser, six-speed manual gearbox standard with throttle blip on downshifts (optional seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with DriveLogic), Active M Differential, aluminium stiffening plate, CFRP front strut brace, additional bolted joints between the axle subframe and the body sills, five-link rear axle in forged aluminium, electromechanical steering with 3 modes (COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+), CFRP roof.
BMW Gran Coupe (F36) (2014)
Also joining the convertible and the coupe is the Gran Coupe. Like the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, it's a coupe that has 4 doors. However, unlike the 6-er Gran Coupe, the pillar, according to spy shots, is like the 3-Series GT, consisting 4 pillars - A-Pillar, B-Pillar, C-Pillar and D-Pillar, also similar to the Audi A7 and the Audi A5 sportback. Although similar pillar layout as the 3-Series GT, it is sleeker, like it's coupe brother (F32).
