We Got to Drive BMW Race Cars
Our Buyer’s Guide Director Rich Ceppos is no stranger to lapping race cars. He has thousands of miles logged on the track and at a recent event was able to get behind the wheel of some very special BMW race cars. First was a restored ’71 BMW 2002 ti campaigned by Alpina pushing 200-hp out of a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder. There was also the flat-plane crank racing V-8-powered M3 GT that won the American LeMans Series GT championship in 2011 as well as a BMW M8 GTE from IMSA’s GTLM class that has five wins under its belt. Which one would you like to take for a ride?Hit the link for Rich's perspective: https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a60165030/bmw-historic-race-car-drive/
