With the likes of the SEAT Mii, VW Up and Skoda Citigo taking the micro-hatch world by storm, Vauxhall has launched its entry at the 2012 Paris Motor Show: the Adam.

Yes, it has a silly name, but it's actually steeped in heritage. Well... sort of -- Adam Opel founded Opel, Vauxhall's sister company in 1862. It's a small three-door affair and will come with a number of eco-tastic engines.

The wonderful thing about it is its looks -- after you get over the initial shock of seeing such a strange looking beast you do begin to like it.

Vauxhall has gone all 'zany' with the Adam -- check out these colour names: I'll Be Black, Papa Don't Peach, James Blonde, Saturday White Fever and Buzz Lightgreen... There's also three trim levels -- Jam, Glam and Slam.
