Spotting the RAREST Cars on London's Streets!
Here are some of the supercars lining London's streets! During this unprecedented time, while out for a daily walk in my local area, I'll show you some of the cars around including a Porsche Carrera GT and Mercedes SLR McLaren, plus a number of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls-Royces, Aston Martins, Bentleys and plenty more.
The early days of the Shmee150 YouTube channel were car spotting videos around the streets of London even going back an entire decade ago. In those times it was very different, phone cameras were in their infancy and social media was in the very early days, nothing like how we know it now. Many fond memories were left with me from that time, albeit quite different these days, however we do now find ourselves in quite an unusual scenario. Given the nature of the current global situation, many countries around the world have introduced new guidelines and social distancing to prevent the spread. In the UK those are quite specific in their nature allowing a number of specific activities; infrequently visiting the shops, medical needs, travelling to work if your job cannot be done from home, and taking a form of daily exercise in your local area, starting and finishing from your home.
I am lucky to live right in the heart of London, drawn to the area by the presence of nice cars to begin with, but this has meant in recent times I've posted on Instagram and other pages when I've seen nice cars about while walking occasionally. So much so that for this outing in response to your requests, I've put together a video of the various supercars and luxury cars that I've seen on the streets.
In many cases these are now parked up and dirty from weeks of standing still, but we're also lucky to see a few nice cars on the move. With the improving weather and the lack of congested streets and traffic, it's actually meaning anybody going out is more likely to take their nicer car than a regular runabout and as such the proportion of interesting cars is high. The key takeaway from the experience is that London has never, ever been so empty - the simple lack of cars driving on these streets is something to behold.
Along my travels then the cars I've managed to find include countless AMG G63s and Rolls-Royces, a Mercedes SLR McLaren, Porsche Carrera GT, Lamborghini Huracan Performante and Huracan EVO, multiple Aston Martins, Maseratis, Ferraris including a few GTC4Lussos, a Bentley Continental GT3-R, Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS, two Brabus G700 G Wagons and even a gold chrome Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. Sadly of course, most having not driven for a while are fairly dirty and clearly in need of a drive.
While the circumstances are deeply saddening at the moment, I hope some enjoyment can come from seeing a few supercars about. Please do appreciate that this is not a channel for medical or political discussion, the UK guidelines are clear and being followed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, countries around the world have put into place 'lockdown' guidelines that vary from one to another. The actions and behaviour you see in this video are in line with those published by the UK Government at the time at which it was filmed. The video is published to entertain and distract from the gloominess of the current situation. Best wishes go out to all those are are affected by this global crisis, thoughts are with you in these trying times.
