The 2024 Land Cruiser comes in 1958, Land Cruiser, and First Edition grades, with base pricing for the 1958 model teased at the mid-$50,000 range. First Edition availability will be capped at 5000 units, scheduled for the first three months of production, after which the other two grades will follow.
All three will feature the same i-Force Max 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid powertrain found in the new Tacoma TRD Pro. It will deliver 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque and enable a 6000-pound tow rating. Fuel-economy estimates are not available, but we expect them to outstrip those of any previous Land Cruiser by a wide margin.
All grades will have full-time four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case containing a lockable Torsen center differential. Other standard off-road hardware includes a lockable rear differential and Crawl Control. Land Cruiser and First Edition models will benefit from a disconnectable front anti-roll bar, Multi-Terrain Select, and 33-in tires, while the 1958 has a fixed anti-roll bar and 32-inch tires.
