Porsche has added two distinctly sporting models to the Panamera range. With a powerful performance from the four-litre V8 twin-turbo engine developing 460 hp (338 kW/), extra dynamic chassis systems including three-chamber air suspension, and its own unique design elements and equipment highlights, the new Porsche Panamera GTS and Porsche Panamera GTS Sport Turismo harness a one-of-a-kind performance package.
In addition, the launch of the new Porsche Panamera GTS coincides with the introduction of a new head-up display for the driver with various configuration options for the entire Panamera range.
Emotion and efficiency: new Porsche Panamera V8 engine with 460 hp and sports exhaust system
At the heart of both of the new Porsche Panamera GTS models is a four-litre V8 engine with 460 hp (338 kW) of output and maximum torque of 620 Nm, which cultivates a particularly emotional driving experience when combined with the standard sports exhaust system. The twin-turbo Porsche Panamera GTS engine, which features a gasoline particulate filter, outperforms its predecessor by 20 hp (15 kW) and 100 Nm of pulling power, accelerating the Panamera GTS and Panamera GTS Sport Turismo 0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds in conjunction with the standard Sport Chrono package. Where possible, the two new Porsche Panamera GTS top speed of 181 and 179 mph respectively.
There are no interruptions in the driving force as power is transmitted to the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive system by the eight-speed PDK dual clutch gearbox. The exceptional new Porsche Panamera performance is achieved with fuel consumption of 27.4 mpg (10.3 l/100 km) (Sport Turismo: 26.6 mpg (10.6 l/100 km)) (see footnote); the CO2 emissions are 235 g/km (Sport Turismo: 242 g/km).
Performance and comfort: sports chassis with three-chamber air suspension
Designed to reflect the sporting prowess of the Panamera GTS models, the chassis systems have a particularly dynamic emphasis. Adaptive air suspension with three- chamber technology is fitted as standard, which results in flexible control and optimum spring rate spread. The sports chassis in the two new Porsche Panamera GTS models has been lowered by 10 mm while the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) function has been further adapted to provide a more sporting damper calibration. The result? Outstanding cornering dynamics. Large brakes (390 millimetres in diameter at the front, 365 millimetres at the rear) deliver equally confident deceleration.
That distinctive new Porsche Panamera GTS look: Sport Design package with black highlights
When compared to the predecessor model, the level of equipment in the new new Porsche Panamera GTS has been significantly upgraded in a number of areas. For example, the Sport Design exterior package with black styling elements and large Alcantara® surfaces in the interior is included as standard. The new Porsche Panamera Sport Design package features a new black nose and black lower trim at the rear which, in combination with a variety of darker elements, help highlight the more athletic appearance. The new Porsche Panamera GTS models ride on 20-inch Panamera Design wheels as standard. The interior features hallmark elements of black Alcantara® and anodised aluminium. Also standard is a heated multi-function sports steering wheel with gearshift paddles and Alcantara® trim, and the Connect Plus module for a wide range of digital services. With the optional Interior Porsche Panamera GTS package, drivers can further customise their car with various design elements bringing contrasting shades of Carmine Red or Crayon to the rev counter, leather stitching, and GTS logos.
