My Toyota GR Supra is FINALLY READY TO PUSH!
My brand new Toyota GR Supra is now run in and ready to be driven properly! After following the book and taking it easy for the first 2,000km given it's the limited A90 Edition, the perfect way to celebrate is a blast on the Autobahn and a lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife... except the rainfall has other ideas!
The factory recommendation for the new GR Supra is to not exceed 4,500rpm or 100mph/160kmh for the first 1,200 miles / 2,000kms with the car and then break it in gently; while some are more than happy to ignore this for me as I'm lucky to have one of the 24 A90 Editions in the UK, it was important to do it correctly. As such I've been driving all over Germany already and making the most out of the car but now it's time to enjoy it properly.
However, with plans to head to the Autobahn to find out where the limited is set on the Supra, as well as an intention for some good laps on the Green Hell, the weather decided to have other ideas and the rain was torrential! That doesn't stop the fun though and the Supra demonstrates how quickly and easy it will reach 250km/h before a very slippy and slidey lap around the Ring.
As soon as the opportunity presents itself to try again, I will be back for some fun in the sun and a go to see what it can really do!
Thanks for watching, Tim
