Mercedes-Benz has finally unveiled its A45 AMG at Geneva 2013. Why do we like it? Well it's the most potent hatch out here and with we like fast cars from AMG's Affalterbach skunk works. A newly developed 2.0-litre turbo with 355bhp and 331lb ft powers all four wheels. We can expect it scrabble to 60mph in under five seconds. Its also said to emit just 161g/km CO2 and return 39mpg. Positively cheap to run then...

Mercedes-Benz is keen to take the fight to the established premium hot hatch elite and we think the BMW M135i and Audi S3 should watch out.
