I'm Finally Wrapping My AMG GT R Yellow! | GARAGE
It's been a long time coming, but it is finally the time to get my Mercedes AMG GT R wrapped! It may be cliche for a YouTuber to wrap their car, but this was the intention since the day I ordered the car in black. The Beast of the Black Hell is getting a makeover ahead of some summer events, and will be on show at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next week!
Driving the car out to Dub Customs, we can take a look at the pearlescent metallic yellow that I'm choosing to use for the car; a material we actually bought back when I did the car spec in December 2016 believe it or not! The main body panels will all be wrapped leaving the carbon wing, roof and mirrors as well as the various black parts like the grille, splitter and diffuser for a great contrast.
Many people have asked how you can wrap over the top of PFF, well to be honest it's quite simply but just a case of being careful when removing it to not pull the PPF off as well. In the mean time there might be a small step change but basically it works completely fine and just gives a double layer of protection on the top - which will be ideal for some summer adventures and supercar convoys.
Stay tuned for the full reveal of the GT R in due course, but in the mean time we can check in on the progress of my Ford Focus RS that is being fitted with the complete Ventus Veloce carbon fibre aero kit. With most of the parts already installed on the car by Dub, we set about the final pieces to fully transform the car, more details of which you can see at: https://www.ventusveloce.com/collections/mk3-focus-rs
In addition, I've also received a bespoke car key from Car Lux Design, custom made with yellow alcantara, black chrome, carbon rear and buttons with yellow inserts! You'll probably know about my little thing about about having car keys to keep that match with the car, so a major shout out to them! http://carluxdesign.com/
