Hyundai's Latest Drift Machine

The Hyundai RN24 prototype is a test bed for future technology. We don't expect windshields to go extinct, but the RN24's drift stick and compact battery could make the jump to production. The RN24 uses an 84.0-kWh battery pack, which matches the net capacity of the Ioniq 5 N's but is 6.5 inches shorter, as engineers have folded either end to make it applicable to shorter-wheelbase vehicles. The Ioniq 5 N has two speakers that emit its virtual engine noises, but the RN24 gets four—one of which uses the rear fender work as a resonator to make the sound easier for bystanders to enjoy.
