FROM THE USA TO THE RING! The First Nurburgring Laps for My Shelby GT500

My Shelby GT500 started in the USA, and now it's here at the Nürburgring! The 760hp V8 beast is finally unleased to roar around the Eifel Mountains on the world's most famous race track. Hard to believe this Shmeemobile is now here, and what a way to do my first laps of the year!

I bought the ultimate Ford Mustang around 2 years ago when I was based for a while in Miami, Florida, and since then drove it across the United States to California, as well as taking part in the Gumball 3000 in 2022 from Toronto to Miami, before it was time to ship it to the UK. That process involved officially importing it, to get the car registered and wearing a UK plate, but now it's time to really make the most of it and like all of the Shmeemobiles, go for some laps at the Ring!

We're here during the Easter Weekend and Touristenfahrten on the Nordschleife; one of the busiest times you could imagine trying to drive it. Conscious of the experience I had with my Huracan STO last year, I'm anxious if we'll trigger the sound metres and therefore be removed from the track again... thankfully two fun laps down and we're all good!
