F1's Disappearing $250k Diamond

At the 2004 Monaco Grand Prix, Jaguar went racing with very real, $250,000 diamonds mounted to the front of its F1 cars as part of a sponsorship deal with the movie “Oceans Twelve.”

Less than a lap into the race, Jaguar rookie driver Christian Klien crashed into a wall, and his diamond disappeared, never to be seen again.
