Desert Running w/ Vaughn Gittin Jr
Ford invited us to its first ever Raptor Rally in the Utah desert and just down the road from the main festivities, giant plumes of sand could be seen rising towards the atmosphere all day. The men responsible were Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Loren Healy giving rides in their 1000-horsepower Bronco Baja Runner nicknamed “El Bandito.” The two-door Bronco is powered by the same 5.2-liter V-8 found in the GT500, but with a Whipple 3.8-liter supercharger bolted on to get that four-digit power. It sits on 42-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires and has no windows, so you better believe we got a mouthful of sand.
