BMW's $160k Art Piece

Slotting above the three-row X7 in BMW’s SUV lineup is the XM, but as much as it is an SUV, the XM is a declaration of decadence. The XM has a textured headliner which is flanked by fiber-optic light guides and 100 LEDs, a charging cable that lives in a custom leather duffel bag, and “M Lounge” rear seats that include throw pillows. The XM doesn’t do subtle. To add to the decadence, the XM is propelled by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 that’s partnered with an electric motor and a battery pack to create a whopping 644 horsepower.
