BMW i8 Review - The Future Is Good

The BMW i8 just might be the ultimate driving machine. With 357 HP, 420 lb-ft of torque, and a 76 MPGe fuel economy rating, it can do it all. Fast? Check. Efficient? Check? Front wheel drive? Sure. All wheel drive? Yep. The BMW i8 is the life of the party, while only having one drink.

The car has four driving modes, eDrive, Eco Pro, Comfort, and Sport. Up front there's a single electric motor with a two speed automatic transmission, supported by a 7.1 kW high voltage lithium ion battery. Behind the passengers a turbocharged inline 3 cylinder powers the rear wheels, with 228 HP and 236 lb-ft of torque.

MSRP As Tested: $150,095.00
