Need a 3-Series with leg and head room? The BMW 3-Series GT may well be for you.
BMW has shown us its 3-Series GT at Geneva 2013. This is the third body style of the new F30 3-Series and is designed in the mould of the 5-Series GT. Its longer, wider and taller than the 3-Series Touring it's based and expect the same line up of diesel (318d and 320d) and petrol (320i, 328i and 335i) engines to power it, both with manual and auto 'box's. Inside the driving position is some 59mm higher than standard 3-Series models for a more commanding view ahead and there's enough space in the rear for three fully grown adults to sit in comfort, apparently. Sport, Modern and Luxury trims available to 3-Series saloon and Touring customers will also be optional on the GT. Adaptive dampers, larger wheels and the M-Sport pack will all feature on the options list when it goes on sale later this year.
If you want frugal or fast; both will be available. The 3-Series GT will be well crewed together -- as we've came to expect from BMW -- and will no doubt carry a premium over other 3-Series models.
