Geneva Motor Show, Spania GTA launched the latest evolution of GTA Spano, whose power has increased up to 900 hp to once again become one of the main lures of this prestigious fair.
This year the Spanish company has participated in this event for the third time, which is considered the most important trade fair in Europe and one of the main ones in the world, thus confirming its consolidation on the automobile scene.
On this occasion, GTA Spano launched an amazing version with a carbonfibre bodywork in a flashy yellow. The difference with the car presented last year in Geneva is that Spano has a new restyling in the exterior, with a new rear bonnet and the interior too, which looks all the better and more sportive look.
Spania GTA has a stand covering more than 200m2 located in the centre of Hall 2, along with the most prestigious handcrafted brands. The new stand design, chosen by the Valenciancompany to also present its new corporate image, is one of the flashiest at the fair. It has a unique fixed platform with a walkway for the public, and a revolving platform made from carbon.
Today and tomorrow, more than 10,000 journalists will visit the Geneva Motor Show, and this edition opens its doors to the public from 7th to 17th March to which nearly 800,000 visitors are expected.
GTA Spano, with a llimited edition of 99 GTA Spano models produced, has its own engine with 900 hp and torque limited electronically to 1000 Nm.
This car accelerates from 0 to 100 Km/h in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 350 km/h. Its chassis has been created by combining carbon fibres, titanium and Kevlar, which has become a reference in the automobile sector thanks to its great rigidity and its lightness.
The GTA Spano is a Spanish supercar built in Valencia by the company GTA Motor, a sister company to GTA Motor Competición. It began as a secret project in 2005, and was first released to the public in 2008 when the model was presented under the name of GTA Concept. The first units were manufactured and delivered at the end of 2010.[citation needed]
Since 2008, a large group of engineers worked on the project under the direction of Dominic Ochoa, who has over 15 years of experience in racing cars, a key point for the technical development of the vehicle. The car has several worldwide patents (five fully processed according to the last presentation of the company) and will make use of technology never before implemented in a Spanish vehicle.
In February 2008 a public and official presentation of the project was made through a model in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. In August of that year, the first prototype began testing at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo. From April 19 to 25, 2010, the car was officially presented at the Top Marques Monaco lounge. The first units were manufactured and delivered at the end of 2010.[citation needed] Only 99 units will be built in order to maintain its exclusivity. Their production is carried out exclusively in Riba-roja de Túria, the town where GTA Motor has established its main facilities.
he chassis was made by combining carbon fibre, titanium and Kevlar, making it a benchmark in the industry. Its V10 engine is in a rear longitudinal position and gives an output of 820 hp and 960 Nm of torque.
The Spano is characterized by the exclusivity of its lines and its high performance. The car is known to reach an unofficial top speed in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph), and 0--100 kp/h takes less than three seconds.
