1937 Delahaye 145 Chapron Coupe – Grand Prix Legend Turned Wartime Coupe

This 145 Chappron Coupe is one of only 4 cars created by Delahaye to compete for the legendary Million Franc prize, a reward offered by the French government in 1936 to any French automaker who could break the Alfa Romeo P3’s world record as the fastest car ever built. Originally configured as a Grand Prix racecar that competed in at least 20 races in 1938 and 1939, it was rebuilt during World War II by the Henri Chapron workshop outside Paris into the gorgeous aerodynamic coupe you'll see on display at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Watch the Live Stream of the 66th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on Sunday 8/21 @ 2pm PST to see who takes home the Best of Show this year!
